OUR HISTORY 1996-2003Where we started

Formed as the Genesis Project in August 1996, "The Internet Business Ltd" settles on name Tibus. Pioneering Dial-Up Internet and UseNet services are developed to compete with Freeserve.

The business was acquired by advertising agency ASG, to build and design websites for their clients. These needed hosted and secured - and those clients need Internet connections too. The company develops a reputation for business-grade service.   

OUR HISTORY 2004-2008Stellar growth and acquired by UTV Plc

Tibus capitalises on the growth in e-commerce and digital in Ireland and the UK. Larger clients are won and dozens of awards collected with ever more accomplished design, complex builds and hosting solutions.

By 2008 Tibus employs 32 people and is the biggest provider in Ireland. UTV Plc acquires it for £5m, primarily to drive new media activity. 

OUR HISTORY 2009-2016Wireless and Tibus join News UK

With the acquisition of Simply Zesty, Tibus focuses solely on hosting and business Internet solutions. Live streaming services for talkSPORT, Virgin, FM104, Cork96 and local Wireless radio stations are enhanced and expanded.

When Wireless is acquired by News UK & Ireland, Tibus is acquired too. Greater investment is made available allows a London office and a move into its current City Quays Plaza II home in Belfast. 

OUR HISTORY 2017-PRESENTInvestment and plans for growth

Long-term infrastructure investments are made to develop core Tibus' Managed Hosting Business.

New clients in utilities, finance and media join Tibus. PAYG and self-service services are rolled out, supported by additional colleagues.

New Tibus brand and design patterns are developed. Our Customer Success team is formed. Tibus enters the world of AI hosting solutions.
